Abstract :
The results of f.m. and a.m. noise-power measurements made on the Gunn oscillator in X and J band are reported. Measurements were made in a 70 c/s bandwidth at frequencies lying between 1 kc/s and 100 kc/s away from the centre frequency. Details of the microwave circuit in which the Gunn diode was mounted are given.
