Abstract :
100 GHz-spaced 40 channel 43 Gbit/s DWDM coherent signal transmission is demonstrated in S-band using a novel carrier-suppressed-return-to-zero differential-phase-shift-keying format over a 400 km dispersion shifted fibre link consisting of gain-shifted Tm-doped fibre amplifier inline repeaters and bi-directionally pumped distributed Raman amplifiers.
