Abstract :
The stability of x¿ = Ax can be determined by solving the matrix equation A´B + BA = ¿ C, which represents ¿n(n + 1) linear eiquations for the ¿n(n + 1) elements of the symmetric n × n matrix B. It is shown that the number of equations to be solved can be reduced by n.
