Looking forward, looking back... [Wireless Investor]

The "Wireless Investor" column made its debut . in the first issue of IEEE Microwave Magazine. It has subsequently appeared more than 40 times during the past nine years. At this point I have said, at least once, almost everything that I want to say about investing. Some topics have been revisited several times, and one piece of advice to maximize contributions to 401(k) plans has been repeated frequently. I do not want the column to become stale or repetitive, and so this will be a farewell column. The first part presents a long view of trends that appear likely to impact investing during the next few decades. The second part provides some retrospective commentary on nine years of "Wireless Investor" columns.
