Switching delay of a switching system related to the characteristics of the input signal

The systematic dependence of the switching delay occurring in a regenerative circuit is briefly analysed as a function of the input signal. The switching circuits are identified as circuits with positive-feedback loops, where the differential gain is controlled by nonlinear elements, and circuits using negative-resistance devices.
