Abstract
A normally open (attenuating) switch using ferrites has been built to operate in the 70-kmc region. It can be operated in 0.5 µsec and can be used with high duty cycles. The attenuation is about one db in the closed position and about 60 db in the open position. Construction and performance of the switch are discussed.
