Abstract :
An active gyrator has both amplifying and impedance-inverting characteristics. A simple method of obtaining an active gyrator using two controlled-current sources is described. Such a circuit has inherent negative input and output resistances; so that ideal impedance-inverting char acteristics may be obtained. A simple experiment shows good agreement with theory.
