Abstract :
The fundamental one-dimensional transport equations, applied to a single-junction device in steady state, are solved `exactly¿ on a digital computer (IBM 7094/7040). The relevant internal distributions and terminal properties are obtained, without approximations, to the desired generality and accuracy. An efficient numerical alogrithm limits to approximately 1min the computation time for one set of accurate solutions.
