Abstract
A simple technique is described for measuring the phase difference between two sine waves with the aid of a differential input oscilloscope. If the amplitude of one of the inputs is adjusted so that the difference between the two signals is minimal, it is shown that the ratio of this amplitude to the amplitude of the other input by itself gives the sine of the phase difference.
