Abstract :
The article on \´What\´s wrong with materials requirement planning?\´ by John Burbidge in our October issue has provoked a lot of interest. According to James Duff FIProdE, Mr Burbidge\´s article "has done a great service to the community". Mr Duff, director of Syspro Management Services, continues the debate and asserts that Period Batch Control "stands unchallenged as the basis on which to build aproduction control system".
