Abstract :
Numerical experiments are described in which the rate of convergence of transmission line circuit parameters found using a vector magnetic field finite element method was studied for varying degrees of domain discretization. Errors in eigenvalues (frequencies for a particular phase constant) and characteristic impedances for single and dual microstrips are presented to illustrate tradeoffs between computation times and number of unknowns.
