Abstract :
Using a decaying step approximation of signal waveforms, a new method of coding messages with 1/0 pulses having varying intervals only has been developed. The quantising noise in the received message has been reduced considerably by making the coder self-oscillating, thus giving rise to an asynchronous system having properties similar to those of the familiar p.p.m. and p.f.m. systems.
