Abstract :
The successful use of reverse-biased hyperabrupt junction diodes to provide the essential nonlinear capacitance for a parametric frequency divider is described. The use of such diodes obviates the need for diode operation into the forward voltage region with the accompanying high losses. Improvements in circuit performance include improved efficiency.
