Abstract :
A finite element method is presented to compute the electromagnetic field and hence the temperature rise in complex three-dimensional structures such as power transformers. The temperature dependence of both the heat transfer coefficients and the electric conductivity is taken into account establishing a strong coupling between the thermal and electromagnetic equations
