Abstract
It was commented that the concept that a hybrid ring may consist of an in-phase power divider and a balun was already introduced by H.-R. Ahn et al. [ibid. vol. 42, pp. 2216-2241 (1994)] and developed theoretically by H.-R. Ahn et al. [ibid. vol. 44, pp. 2241-2247 (1997)]. The differences between the concepts in the title paper [K.S. Ang & Y.-C. Leong, ibid. vol. 50, pp. 1990-1195 (2002)] with these papers will now be highlighted.
