Abstract :
The challenges of maintaining relevancy and currency in computer engineering curricula are examined. The emerging trend to emphasize design experience early on, the need to stress written and oral communication skills, and the need for industry-university collaboration in funding instructional laboratories are identified as the three main ingredients for success in an undergraduate computer engineering curriculum
