Abstract :
Previously, pixels have been proposed that combine the low-light sensitivity of linear pixels with the high dynamic range of pixels that have a logarithmic response. In this paper, a model for this type of pixel is presented that represents the response of the pixel over a wide range of photocurrents. Simulation and measurement results are presented to validate the model and to show that there is a simple procedure for determining the parameters of the model.
