Abstract :
Formulas for the Fourier expression of the voltage drop across a saturated transistor when driven by a sinusoidal current are developed. The transistor-junction asymmetry, as well as the effects of any bias current, are combined into a generalised symmetry factor which is used as a parameter in the evaluation of the harmonic distortion coefficients.
