Abstract
Designed as a textbook for high school and undergraduate college student, Turtle Geometry demonstrates a new way to ¿experience¿ math through the use of inexpensive personal computers. This innovative text demonstrates how computers in the hands of students can be used as powerful tools for self-directed learning and understanding. This is the central and recurring theme of the book, which is in fact subtitled ¿The Computer as a Medium for Exploring Mathematics.¿ The authors are both MIT faculty members in the school´s Study and Research in Education Division, where this material was developed.
