Abstract :
Free-lance artist Larry Gartel has been active in computer painting for 10 years and looks back on a long struggle to gain acceptance for the medium. He finally saw the tide turn in about 1980, when he stopped feeling like ??a pioneer in a covered wagon.?? Recently, he received a grant from Polaroid Corporation to create huge computer-generated murals.
