Abstract :
This progress report was prepared by the IEEE Working Group on Std 1050, `Guide for Instrumentation and Control Equipment Grounding in Generating Stations´. It summarizes a review of the grounding recommendations made by the manufacturers of 11 distributed control systems which are presently being applied in generating stations. The diversity of grounding recommendations shown by this review is discussed along with a necessary course of action
