Abstract :
The use of computer systems designed to accommodate complex load management as well as billing and load survey programs by the Potomac Electric Power Company (PEPCO) and an innovative organizational approach to implement a comprehensive energy plan for its customers are described. The justification for purchasing a telemetering master station that supports load curtailment, automatic metering, customer billing programs, and load surveys is examined. These applications are discussed, and the telemetering system components are described.<>
