Abstract :
A simplified companion model for the Ebers-Moll transistor model including both diffusion and transition region capacitance is developed. This model is to be implemented in a program used for calculating the steady-state response of nonlinear circuits with periodic inputs. The algorithm used for this analysis requires the calculation of node voltages as well as the partial derivatives of each capacitor voltage and inductor current with respect to each initial condition. The companion model presented will be shown to facilitate calculation of these quantities.
