Abstract
Conventional fuzzy control systems using PID (proportional-integral-derivative) control and their limitations are discussed. Ways to incorporate adaptivity are examined. The functioning of adaptive fuzzy logic and adaptive fuzzy control systems is described. The use of rule weights is explained.<>
