Program for selecting a tree of a connected network and for finding the corresponding F matrix

In network-analysis procedures, particularly those using the state-variable formulation of the problem, the selection of a tree and the formation of the corresponding F matrix is of considerable importance. An algorithm has been devised to perform the tree selection and F matrix formation and has been embodied in a FORTRAN IV subroutine. The letter describes the specification of this program.
