Subdomain basis-function model for the ring element in FSS arrays

A new subdomain model for predicting the frequency response of an FSS consisting of ring elements is presented. The rings are modelled as two overlapping identical regular polygons and the currents are represented by roof-top basis functions. Comparisons with measured results are presented to show that this technique is more reliable than the entire-domain method
