Abstract :
Parkinson´s work on the criterion for uncoupling of mode in oblique-incidence scattering from radially inhomogeneous circular cylinders has been generalised. The letter treats 2- and 3-dimensionally inhomogeneous ¿ and ¿. Circular, elliptic and parabolic cylinders have been considered.
