Abstract :
The control of plants with unknown dead time and parameters is considered. The goal of control is to stabilize plant output at a given level. The performance of the optimal, nonadaptive algorithm in the case of uncertain knowledge of parameters is evaluated and compared with that of the adaptive algorithm proposed here. The effective regions for both algorithms are evaluated. Simulation results confirming the efficiency of the adaptive algorithm and the performance estimates are presented
