Phase filter, an untested f.m. demodulator

A new demodulator structure, the phase filter, is proposed for f.m.-threshold extension. A mathematical model is derived which shows the structure is equivalent to a conventional phase-lock loop preceded by a linear filter operating on the phase of the received signal.
