Abstract :
Following the recent involvement of Thorn EMI subsidiary, Hazmac, in the activities of Workmaster robots, the first such robot is now employed at British Aerospace´s Filton plant in the process of high pressure water cleaning. Duncan Holland reports on what could lead to a greater use of robotics in the aviation industry.
