Abstract :
Describes an integrated circuit in which special processing provides low-current (/spl les/1 nA)/spl beta/, a high-speed silicon photodiode, and an on-chip capacitor to control the shutter and aperture and blink a low-light indicator at 4 Hz without external parts or calibration. In the system approach, current was selected as the analog of scene brightness. Two chips were developed for two different camera systems, one of which was the instant-developing type.
