            Abstract :
The transmission losses of a terahertz (THz) wave in a hollow-core Bragg fiber with cobweb cladding are analyzed. The numerical results show that the losses in the wavelength range of 70-1000 mum are below 8.5times10-5 dB/cm. The lowest loss of 9.03times10-6 dB/cm or 2.08times10-6 cm-1 is obtained for Fiber A at 90mum. The losses in this new class of Bragg fibers are reduced to far lower than those of other fibers for a THz wave reported so far in the literature
