Abstract :
The FBI estimated that around $67 billion was lost to cybercriminals based on 2005 figures. Despite the substantial damage that viruses, worms and spyware cause, only a small fraction of affected organizations report the attacks to law enforcement agencies for fear of losing business because their equipment may be confiscated or the negative publicity these incidents invite. To address the pervasive cyber security threats, companies need to stop measuring security investments just in monetary terms and instead think of information security as part of the corporate lifestyle.
