Abstract :
Results obtained from slant path propagation experiments carried out with the OLYMPUS satellite are reported. Concurrent attenuation measurements at 12.5, 20 and 30 GHz have been analyzed with regard to the rate of change of rain attenuation (fade slope). The results indicate that pronounced fade slopes occur mostly in the high attenuation range.
