Abstract :
A matrix representation is presented for M-CPFSK signals when the modulation index h=p/q (q>or=M). It simplifies trellis search algorithms that compute minimum distances and other trellis parameters. The matrix representation has been applied to find self-transparent CPFSK trellis modulation codes.
