Abstract
A Y2Ba2Cu3Ox (x=6.9) bulk ceramic superconductor infrared detector operated at 77 K is discussed. The material is prepared by hot-pressing YBa2Cu 3Ox powder that was made by solid-state reaction of Ba(NO3)2, Y2O3 and CuO. The response of the detector to the blackbody radiation as a function of bias current is given for two different detector geometries
