Abstract :
The analysis and design of a monolithic wide-band amplifier is presented. The amplifier is suitable for use as a direct coupled circuit that can deliver as much as 20 dB of power gain at bandwidths in the range of 200 MHz (uncompensated) to 400 MHz (compensated). The use of a four-transistor input stage allows for an input resistance that is largely independent of active element parameter values.
