Abstract :
Entries in the 1986 I ProdE/Bridgeport Prize for Quality Management were judged in March, producing a winner, Fiona Instone, and two joint seconds. The prize was further augmented by IProdE President Tony Gill who offered to pay a year´s IProdE membership subscription for each of the finalists. James Marsh reviews the winning papers.
