Abstract
The Internet is changing - as it has to, because IPv4 does not support enough addresses for everyone alive today, let alone proliferating embedded and mobile devices. This paper discusses the advantages of Internet protocol version 6 (IPv6) over IPv4. The main advantage of IPv6 is the increase in the number of addresses available for networked devices, allowing, for example, each mobile phone and mobile electronic device to have its own IP address
