Abstract :
Time-varying spectral control for an arbitrary ultrafast signal reshaping is demonstrated as one of applications of ultrafast time-to-two-dimensional-space-to-time conversion. By decomposing arbitrary ultrafast signals as two-dimensional spatial distributions of each temporal and spectral component by using ultrafast time gates, we can individually control them. Preliminary experimental results show the time-varying spectral control at throughput of the bit rate of 2.4 Tbit/s.
