Abstract :
Both continuous and discrete methods can be used for time-optimal control and under certain conditions the discrete optimal control, which is simpler to calculate, can be shown to be a valid approximation. In the paper, the applicability of Pokoski´s hypothesis, which places an upper bound on the amount of suboptimality introduced by discretisation, is investigated.
