NDT---so much more than quality control

A recent DTI-funded study revealed that many small companies are either not fully aware of the capabilities offered by non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, or view them simply as a quality control technique. Consequently, these companies are not deriving the full benefits possible from this powerful family of methods. In this article, Robert Bogue, the consultant who undertook the study, explains how NDT can and should play a greater role in the total production process.
