Abstract :
A Z-transform technique derives an updating algorithm for the finite-difference time-domain equations dealing with a lumped load. Such a load can be used to simulate equivalent circuits of terminations for microstrip structures, including IC or digital devices. The advantages of the Z-transform technique are pointed out and numerical results validating the method included.
