Abstract :
It is shown that fine tuning of high Q VHF coaxial cavity resonators over a range of some 500 kHz is possible using PIN diodes and capacitive probes, without serious degradation of the unloaded Q and without introducing severe nonlinearities. Coarse tuning over a range of several MHz is shown using switched loops.
