Abstract
The propagation of electromagnetic waves along a coaxial line filled with three concentric dielectric annuli, one of which is a plasma possessing a nonuniform charge density, is considered. A variational technique is employed to find the dispersion curve for the lowestorder circularly symmetric slow wave which may propagate in the system.
