Technical memorandum. Fast allocation of degrees of freedom in an adaptive antenna

An improved beam-selection procedure is described for a robust beam-switched adaptive antenna introduced in a recent paper. The new algorithm is faster, and virtually guarantees acquisition of the desired signal in fewer trial adaptations than the number of antenna beams multiplied by the number of jammers, it is thus more practical for cancellation of several jammers by arrays with many elements.
