Abstract :
A series of long metal pipes, both shorted and open-circuited, were irradiated in the AURORA Flash X-ray Facility where they were subject to conductivity and electromagnetic fields resulting from the radiation pulse. Both experimental data and theoretical response predictions (made both with finite-difference calculations and equivalent-circuit models) are presented here. It is felt that, through this work, a greater understanding of SREMP coupling to long antennas and cables has been achieved.
