Abstract :
An advanced cable shielding acceptance test system, Advanced Rapid Measurement System (ARAMS), for production end items is proposed, evaluated, and analyzed. In this method, the requirement of shielding against external electromagnetic fields is translated into transfer impedance requirements for cable overbraids and connectors within a cable set. These transfer impedance requirements are shown to be met by conducting tests using the ARAMS.
