Comments on "Closed-Form Solutions for the Design of Optimum Matching Networks"

The above paper gives a closed-form equations for the design of matching networks for simple RC load networks up to degree 4. It also discusses impedance transformations and the case where both the source and load networks have specified reactive elements that require matching. The purpose of this comment is to point out that much simpler versions of such equations were presented in a paper published in 1964.
