Abstract :
The possibility of realising a thin film integrated circuit microwave modulator based on a current controlled high-Tc superconducting element is shown. The modulator exhibits an extremely low insertion loss in the superconducting state, high efficiency signal modulation, low noise and a high modulation frequency. The small size and weight make this modulator seem attractive.
